WHEN he first started out
in 1991, he was just a boy of 20 years old, hitting the local entertainment
scene with his rap group 4U2C. Gaudy outfits, CDs hanging on the neck
and all, the group achieved stardom with their hits such as Fiona,
2BD#1 and Kenangan Cinta.
He left the group and went on a solo venture.
AC Mizal (real name Mizal Zaini, born
21 December 1971) is now a well-known name in the TV, film, theatre
and music industry!
He stayed in the limelight with TV's top police series,
Gerak Khas, for five years where he played Inspektor
Mazlan. He won Anugerah Bintang Popular trophies for Popular
TV Drama Actor in 2000 and 2001. He then went on to the silver
screens and there's no stopping him since.
AC acted in 1999's Pasrah, Gerak Khas The Movie,
Gerak Khas The Movie 2, Buli, Makar, Baik Punya Cilok, Buli Balik, Cicak
Man, Zombie Kampung Pisang, Diva, and soon-to-be-released Los
and Faun and Cuci.
However, it was not until the 2006 ambitious staging
of Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical when everyone really
took notice of his acting prowess. Clearly, he received rave reviews
in his potrayal of Gusti Adipati Handayat Ningrat.
AC Mizal also released his mini album, Tassamaqu
in 2005 - his first album since 4U2C disbanded. The album received modest
success and AC went on to act in VCD productions (namely Tumpas,
Cucu Tok Kerinchi, Makar, Gari and Skuad Elit),
hosting game shows and talk shows, and emceeing for big events such
as the 19th Malaysian Film Festival.
The Managing Director of Best Line Entertainment (M)
Sdn Bhd and General Manager of Emac Vision Sdn Bhd is now hosting his
own talk show on Astro called AC Di Sini every Friday
night - a unique show which highlights the latest events, updates and
gossips on Malaysian personalities including exclusive breaking news
interviews. He also plays his own sidekick - Cik Mat Poi (CMP)!
That's not all... he is also hosting a top-rated radio
breakfast show, Pagi di Era with Kieran and Yasmin
Hani and has a new single under KRU Music Group called Di Sini.
And there are definitely more good stuff coming from
this guy - he is truly full of surprises!
